Ward's Classic Car Radio Repair
We guarantee our work for LIFE!
Just one of our 5 super-equipped repair benches:
This is my main bench right here in the house, so I don't spend too much time away from the
comforts of home.  Some of the equipment you see here won't be found in many other shops,
laboratory grade HP 331 Distortion Analyzer, 4 channel Tektronix 2465 Oscilloscope, Sencore
SG165 AM - FM Analyzer, and especially a Transistor Curve Tracer which is used to precisely
match output transistors.  My extensive arsenal of professional test equipment goes far, far
beyond the requirements of ANY manufacturer's repair and alignment procedures, thus
assuring top quality performance guaranteed to remain for the rest of your life!
We service ALL makes and models built from 1950 to 1980!
Whether you're restoring an old Ford, Chevy, Porsche, Studebaker, Edsel, Pontiac
or any other
COOL CLASSIC RIDE, we can repair and restore its original radio and
8 track or cassette player to factory performance guaranteed to satisfy your needs,
bring back those fond memories of you and your high school sweetheart at Lover's
Lane, the carefree nights at the Tasty Freeze - maybe even your senior prom!
The way it works:
1.  Simply call or E-mail me with the make, model, year and description of the problem.  In some
cases, I may need the model number, or the year and make of your car IF it is the original radio.
I don't need the model number to repair 8 track-only units, but in certain cases I may need the
full system - radio, 8 track, MPX adaptor and wiring harness.  This is because a few Delco 8
track players get voltages and signals from other parts of the system.  These 8 track units are
easily identified by a round, black 11 - pin connector in back a little over 1" in diameter.  If
your 8 track player has this connector, I might need the entire system to fix the 8 track unit.

2.  If you like, you can print and fill out an information form to include with the unit
PLEASE DON'T FORGET TO INCLUDE YOUR NAME, ADDRESS, E-MAIL AND PHONE NUMBER WITH
YOUR UNIT.  TAPING IT TO THE BOTTOM OF YOUR UNIT IS PERFECT - THANK YOU!

3.  Pack your unit, providing
at least 3 inches of padding - especially the front panel.  If any
controls become bent or broken in shipping, at the very least it can add up to $200 to your
repair bill.  In some cases, it will turn a valuable and beautiful radio into a nice paperweight.

Your box MUST be large enough to allow for at least 3 inches of padding on all sides, and at
least 1 inch of padding on top and bottom.  If your unit is not packed to this specification, I
reserve the right to charge an extra $20 to repack your unit for guaranteed safe transit.

ONCE WE DIAGNOSE YOUR UNIT, WE CALL FOR CREDIT CARD PAYMENT TO BEGIN RESTORATION

4.  Typical turnaround is one to three months (worst case scenario).  Generally, the older and
dirtier the unit, the longer it takes and the more it will cost to repair.  Please bear in mind that
our work is guaranteed for LIFE, and top notch repair quality on a 30 to 40 old unit will take
a lot of time, money and effort to fully restore to original, brand new factory performance.
After all repairs are completed, your unit will endure at least two weeks of intensive testing.

5.  I regret that I DO NOT attempt to sell parts, belts or cosmetic items for car radios.  My
focus is strictly on the repair work itself.  Thank you in advance for your understanding!

6.  My business is primarily over the Internet and through shipping services.  Though I do
accept local business, I am unable to make appointments more than one day in advance.

7.  Please don't call to find parts, belts, cosmetics or complete units.  The only items I have for
sale will be on the "For Sale" page.  We don't sell any parts or belts, and we don't disclose the
vendors we use due to rapidly vanishing parts leading to rapidly vanishing livelihoods ~~~
